  2. Welcome to the Rainforests There are Rainforests all over the world. We are going to find out more about the plants and animals that live in them. First we will get an introduction: Lets take a tour!

  3. An Amazing Place The Rainforest is home to many different animals. It is made up of thousands of types of plants and a special climate that provides the perfect atmosphere for them all to live in. Click here to find out more!

  4. Getting a Closer Look You will be creating a in-depth report about an animal of your choice. To get a better idea of the work of a rainforest explorer watch the following report about Jaguars in the Amazon. Learn about the Jaguar

Rainforest Explorers The job of you and your team mates will be to find out the following information: • If you were an wildlife explorer where do you think you might look for animals like the ones we have been discussing? • In what kind environment do you think they might live? • What kinds of things would they eat? • What would be the most dangerous and scary thing in these animals lives? • Are they important to us, and if so why?

What do your think you might do to help make others become aware of the destruction and plight this region and wild life are suffering?

  8. Follow Up Activities Parrot Art Creating your own parrot is as easy as a flap of your hands. You can use your newfound knowledge of the animals of the rainforest along with some creativity and some paint to create your own colorful flying parrots. Rainforest Reporter Present your findings about the marvels of the rainforest by using a PowerPoint presentation, newscast, commercial, video, play, poem, or any format that the you prefer. Dazzle the world with your expertise of the wonders you found in your research.
