Investigating the Effects of PEM on Puma Expression and Apoptotic Markers in A549 and H1792 Cells

This study examines the impact of PEM at varying concentrations (0.2 to 10 μmol/L) on Puma expression and apoptosis-related markers in A549 and H1792 lung cancer cell lines. Time-course analyses (0 to 48 hours) were conducted to evaluate the levels of Puma, Noxa, Mcl-1, Caspase-3, Caspase-9, and PARP, alongside β-actin as a loading control. Figures S1 and S2 illustrate the siRNA knockdown effects on Puma and associated apoptotic pathways, highlighting potential therapeutic implications in cancer treatment.
