Gravitational lensing and the problem of faint galaxies
This study addresses the problem of faint sub-millimeter (sub-mm) galaxies that are obscured in optical wavelengths, yet detectable in sub-mm and radio frequencies. Utilizing gravitational lensing as a method to magnify these distant objects, we analyze data from notable clusters like Abell 2218 and MS0451.6-0305. By combining optical, near-infrared, sub-mm, and radio data, we aim to uncover the nature of these mysterious star-forming galaxies and improve alignment of emissions to enhance our understanding of their characteristics and the gravitational lensing effect that illuminates them.
