  2. Measurement Measurement is the act or process of measuring. A figure, extent, or amount obtained by measuring.

  3. Why do we measure things? To find out how long an object is. To find out which object is longer or shorter. To find out if an object fits in a measured space.

  4. Objects to measure with Paper clips Pencils Sticks of gum Straws Ruler Shoes Erasers Crayons Popsicle Sticks Ribbon

  5. Measure the objects on your table. Which object was the largest? Place the objects in order from shortest to largest.
