  1. Conditional Clause (If – clause) Powerpoint Templates

First Type “This type is possible and also very likely that the condition will be fulfilled.” Structure: If + Simple Present, Will + V1/non-verb Examples: Main Clause - Jika saya menemukan alamatnya, saya akan mengiriminya undangan - if I find her address, I will send her an invitation simple present will-future NOTE: In the main clause, it is possible using a modal or an imperative form.

Second Type “This type is possible but very unlikely that the condition will be fulfilled.” Structure: If + Simple Past, Would + V1/non-verb Examples: Main Clause - Jika saya menemukan alamatnya, saya akan mengiriminya undangan - if I found her address, I would send her an invitation simple past would+V1 NOTE: Other modals are also in Past form. (could, should, might)

  4. Drills: • Complete these conditional sentences: • If Bob ....... (tidy) up the kitchen, Anita ....... (clean) • the toilet. • If they all .... (do) their best, the party .... (be) great. • Juli .... (buy) the drinks if somebody .... (help) her carry the bottles. • Type 2 • David (spend) ……. a year in the USA if it (be) …….. easier to get a green card. • 2.
