  5. 2. How Did We Get Here? *Member vs. Disciple Members join institutions SOLELY while Disciples join the FAMILY *The Implication If Something is HEALTHY it has potential to be UNHEALTHY

  6. 3. What Is The Church? Jesus was the first to mention the Church Matt 16:16-18  The word "Church" comes from Greek term "ekklesia" ekklesia = An Assembly and To Call Out or Called Out Ones

  7. 3. What Is The Church? The New Testament Church is a body of believers who have been called out from the world by God to live as His people under the authority of Jesus Christ Ephesians 1:22-23

  8. 3. What Is The Church? The Body Of Christ began in Acts 2 on the Day of Pentecost though the work of the Holy Spirit and shall continue until the day of the rapture

  9. 4. The Purpose of the Church Minister to Believers and Non Believers The Church comes together (assembles) to bring each member to spiritual maturity Ephesians 4:13
