Research • “Research overwhelmingly supports the benefits of faculty-student mentor programs.” • Campbell and Campbell research revealed “a higher GPA for mentored students, more units completed per semester, and lower dropout rate.” • DuBois, Holloway, Valentine, Cooper (2002) research indicated positive results when strong relationships are formed, especially for at-risk students.
