  1. Write Into the Day March 19, 2014 p. 67 1 paragraph: This is “National Clean Your Closet Week.” Make a plan of how you will clean your closet someday this week. Do you have any items or clothing that you can donate to charity?

Missing/Make-Up Work While we are working on our individual assignments today, if you need (or think you need) any make-up/missing work, you may see me ONLY at that time Remember, we will not be having a make-up work day, so you need to see me on your own time to receive your missing work ALL work is due to me by next week Wednesday, 2/26

  3. Reading Comprehension Quiz 18 ONLY write on the answer sheet, the story is a CLASS SET Turn it into the back tray, before returning to your seat, please pick up “I Saw Anne Frank Die” and begin reading until everyone has finished their quiz Please put on p. 67 under your warm-up

  4. As a class, let’s read... I will need volunteers as we read “I Saw Anne Frank Die” We will answer the questions together

  5. Grammar: Indefinite Pronouns Copy all to p. 68 of daybook Review: A personal pronoun refers to specific people, places, things, or ideas. Some pronouns do not refer to a definite person, place, thing, or idea and are therefore called indefinite pronouns.

  6. Singular Indefinite Pronouns anybody, anyone, anything, each, either, everybody, everyone, everything, neither, nobody, nothing, no one, one, somebody, someone, and something Example: One of the tapes belongs to Sabrena.

  7. Plural Indefinite Pronouns both, few, many, and several Examples: Both of the apples are good. Many of the students walk to school.

  8. Last one: Exception... The indefinite pronouns ‘all, any, more, most, none, and some’ may be singular or plural, depending on their meaning in a sentence Example: All of the room has been painted. (singular object- room) All of the rooms have been painted. (plural object- rooms)

  9. Boy in the Striped Pajamas- Short Version After watching/reading the short version of The Boy in the Striped Pajamas, answer the following on p. 69 of your day book (copy the questions): 1. How does it relate to your own life? 2. How does it relate to Anne Frank’s story? 3. How does it reflect on the world?
