  2. Philadelphia Museum of Art In 1876, the Pennsylvania School of Industrial Arts had a goal of establishing a Museum of Art. On May 10, 1877, Memorial Hall reopened as a permanent museum. Today the Philadelphia Museum of Art has over 255,000 works of art.

  3. Philadelphia Museum of Art I think that people would find the Philadelphia Museum of Art interesting because the exhibits are always changing, and the exhibits span many cultures and generations. Most people think of sculptures and paintings when they think of art, but the art museum has so much more to offer. Another reason that makes the art museum is interesting, is the fact that it was used for the backdrop for several movies and many events.

  4. Philadelphia Museum of Art The Philadelphia Museum of Art has an amazing location, high above the steps, at the end of Benjamin Franklin Parkway, at Eakins Oval. The view from the art museum overlooks the scenic Boathouse Row, Schuylkill River, and Fairmont Park.

  5. Philadelphia Museum of Art At the Art Museum we saw a lot of exhibits, but my favorite was the Art into Fashion exhibit. I liked it because Roberto Capucci designed a lot of dresses to look like sculptures. The next few slides are examples of his fine work.

  10. Philadelphia Museum of Art These are Japanese Tea Houses. That would be found in Asian Art.

  11. Philadelphia Museum of Art This is a European Drawing Room. That would be found in European Art.

  12. Philadelphia Museum of Art This is Rocky. Rocky was a very famous movie in the 1980s In the movie Rocky is a boxer and he runs up the Art Museum steps. The Philadelphia Museum of Art has become famous for the steps ever since the movie Rocky. The Rocky Statue can be found outside the Art Museum at the bottom of the steps.

  14. Philadelphia Museum of Art I learned that art comes in many forms besides paintings and sculptures. It can be a dress or a house or many other things.
