  1. Which kind of popcorn willleave the least kernels un-popped?

  2. Purpose The reason we are doing this project to see which brand of popcorn will have the least kernels un-popped. Hypothesis We think that Jolly Time popcorn will leave the most un-popped kernels.

  3. Materials List • Microwave • Three bags of Clancy’s popcorn • Three bags of Jolly time popcorn • Three bags of popcorn • Pencil • Counters • Recording sheet • Cookie sheet • Computer

  4. Procedures • Make a chart on a piece of paper. • Buy three brands of Jolly Time, Pop Weaver, and Orville Redenbacher's popcorn 3. Pop three bags of each brand. 4. Open and dump out one bag of one brand and count the number of kernels that didn’t pop. 5. Wright the number of kernels down on your paper 6. Repeat step four-five eight more times.

  5. Graphed Results

  6. Conclusion Our Hypothesis was wrong. Jolly Time didn’t have the most kernels un-popped. If we would have done the experiment again we would have done 3 more different brands of popcorn. We thought that the bigger the bag the more that would pop.

  7. Acknowledgements We would like to thank Buffy and Clay Chandler, and Lisha Bone for buying the popcorn, and Mrs. Bowman for helping us with everything we needed. The last thing we want to thank is Brownstown Elementary School for letting us use the computers.
