Global Preferences • Gone • Sync up Jinitiator parameters • Declare Global Language, Date Format, Territory • Added • New ‘Send Me Electronic Mail Notifications’ option • HTML Mail with attachments • adds link to Notification page • requires login to applications • Sync with LDAP security • Not needed unless using with non-Apps databases • Still “reserved for future use” • Document Home Node © 2003 Solution Beacon, LLC. Directory Services • WF_USERS, WF_ROLES, WF_USER_ROLES views across WF_LOCAL_ROLES, WF_LOCAL_USER_ROLES • WF_LOCAL_ROLES, WF_LOCAL_USER_ROLES populated by Directory sync programs or (with added patches) directly as change is made • WF_LOCAL_USERS obsolete • New columns added • Partition_id – gives source of data • User_flag • New model available to earlier releases – patch 2956353 – ensure prereq’s are met © 2003 Solution Beacon, LLC.   8. Directory Services • Established through bulk sync • If no patch for auto-sync listed, run incremental sync program • Log parameter – if not set to Yes, will have to re-run bulk if re-do logs ever applied © 2003 Solution Beacon, LLC. All Rights Reserved.

New Profile options • Socket Listener Activated – must be Yes to launch forms from email • Socket Listener Port – set at site level to port at which forms should launch • FND: NotificationReassign Mode • Delegate – cannot choose Re-assign • Transfer – cannot choose Delegate – whether hierarchy changes depends on workflow involved • Reassign – can choose Delegate or Transfer © 2003 Solution Beacon, LLC. Notification Mailer • Must use OAM to setup • Upgrade moves .tag and .cfg into OAM • Requires IMAP4 email system for incoming (uses SMTP outgoing) • UNIX-based IMAP4 systems • UW IMAP Server – Univ Washington • Cyrus IMAP Server – Carnegie Mellon • Same Mailer does both individual and summary notifications © 2003 Solution Beacon, LLC.
