Welcome….. • Welcome, • The National Association of Certified Home Inspectors (NACHI) is the world’s largest, most elite 501(c)(6), non-profit inspection association. • Our inspectors are required: • To pass NACHI’s Inspector Examination yearly in addition to any state mandated exam; • Adhere to the professions strongest Standards of Practice; • Abide by a strict Code of Ethics; and • Are required to complete 24 hours of Continuing Education Courses per year. • A challenge that only the elite inspector dares to undertake.   3. Types of membership…. • Working Member • Full Member • Affiliate Member • Retired Member • Staff

  4. Working Members Unlike other society’s or associations, NACHI requires all of our prospective new members to meet minimum requirements before membership.

  5. Prospective working members must First pass NACHI’s Online Inspector Examination or provide proof of successful completion of a state mandated exam, or the NHIE.

  6. SOP’s and COE’s Prospective members must also complete NACHI’s online Standards of Practice and Code of Ethic’s course and quizzes. Furthermore…..

  7. Affidavit & Application Prospective members must completely fill out, sign and date these agreeing to the terms of membership. Additionally….

  8. Mock Inspections Prospective members who have never performed a home inspection must submit to the NACHI Report Review Committee four mock inspections before performing any home inspections for a fee.

  9. And more….. Yes, NACHI’s membership entrance requirements are much more than simply sending in your payment. NACHI encourages everyone to review the entry requirements at http:www.nachi.org/membership.htm where there are listed at least 15 or 16 pre-membership steps and agreements.

  10. FULL MEMBERS Are you a home inspection professional with over 100 fee paid or participated in inspections looking for a new/additional association. NACHI is the industry leader when it comes to serving the needs of our members. Members of the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors are the most educated and best trained inspectors in the world and NACHI is committed to keeping it that way. Toward that end NACHI has taken steps to encourage member pursuit and maintenance of inspection excellence and we have accomplished this without additional charge to members. We believe that fees, like taxes, deter professional development and that the best way to encourage the continuing education of our membership is by supporting variety, accessibility and affordability in educational options.
