In Language, we are working on: • *identifying all letters a-z (capital and lower case) • *story retelling(beginning, middle, end) • *daily writing • * high frequency words:go, play, I, can, you, red, mom, blue, dad, we, the, see, like, me, my, have, • green, orange, purple, to, and, yellow, black • In Math, we are working on: • *adding • *counting to 70 • * sorting • * patterns • * graphing • *1 more and 1 less • * matching number to objects when counting • *calendar activities: day, date, patterns, extending the number path, months of the year, days of the week Begin Working On DecemberMath Mania It is posted on Class Site. Ms. Jaeger’s NewsletterDecember 2-6, 2013 Homework---- Read story 3 times every night. Monday-Friday- Reading Sheet in Agenda Monday- Write a sentence using the word have Wednesday- Write a sentence using the word with Monday-Thursday- Complete 1 Math Mania Problem Each Night Review Phone Number and address for QUIZ on Friday! Dates To Remember Dec. 3rd- Holiday Picture Day Dec. 12th – Snowflake Shop Dec. 13th– Kindergarten Field Trip to FHS – Wizard of Oz $8.00 and Permission Slips Due Dec. 17th – KindergartenWinterCelebration at 2:00 - 3:00 Dec. 20th–½ day for students; end of 2nd 9 weeks Teaching Resources:Yoko, Treasures, Math Investigations, Every day Calendar Counts, Common Core Standards, St. Tammany Guaranteed Curriculum . Lessons are based on the state Common Core Standards.
