  5. Professionalism Even though it is social media, remain formal! Be thoughtful of what you post – you are representing Cali-Nev-Ha Key Club and Key Club International. You reflect the District.

  6. Keep your professional and personal life separate. If it’s not something you would want your parents to read/see – then don’t post it.

  7. Planning vs. Publicity Keep a lid on it! Don’t plan on social media! Keep the details, while tentative, between you and event organizers. Members should see the outcome, not the planning, to enjoy the full experience.

  8. Planning vs. Publicity You’re invited! Facebook events and tweets are okay, as long as you are publicizing finalized event details on private lists. Sorry… the entire world is not invited.

  9. Using Social Media Proper ways to use Social Media: Promoting an event through a Facebook event. Tweeting reminders the day before / day Uploading pictures of service or spirit on Facebook, Tumblr, or Instagram.* Thanking members for attending Positively reflecting on the day on Tumblr. *Kiwanis Policy: photo release on file with home clubs.
