Lessons Learned Do…... • Have a caring adult to connect with student (ex: Check-In - Check Out(CICO), Remind 101) • Start the school day on a positive note…..(advisor/advisee, LIFE, mentoring, etc.) • Have student-centered weekly PLT sessions • Have a structured “smart lunch “ program • Provide teachers with resources and support for implementing programs, ideas • Step out of the box to engage the learner - “ you cannot teach’em until you reach’em
