  1. (Name of Development) . HUMAN SCALE: How does the building’s size and location make tenants and neighbors feel? Does it feel welcoming? Does it make you feel safe? SAFETY: Does the design of the building encourage tenant interaction and a sense of community? Does the design make it easier to see what’s happening in public spaces and to have ‘eyes on the street’? Design Considerations IDENTIFIABLE: Are there features of the building that tenants and neighbors can relate to? This can be cultural associations and/or the relationship of the building to the rest of the neighborhood. VARIETY AND COMPLEXITY: Is the building interesting to look at? Does the design inspire tenants and neighbors to use the variety of spaces? MULTIFUNCTIONAL: Do the public and private spaces of this development serve more than one purpose? Does this use advance the interests of the community? CONNECTIONS: How to people get to the development? Is it easy to get there from the transit stop? How do tenants maneuver through the development?
