  1. Final Project Tracy Atalla

  2. Inspiration • 1. Steve Lambert, because of his “wish you were here! Postcards from our awesome future” • I thought his work was really bold, and made a statement

  3. Martin Puryear • Because of the awesome sculptures he has constructed

  4. Andy Warhol • Because of the bright colors and cool effects

  5. Concept • For my final project I would like to re-do my montage project from the beginning. I want to use a different concept this time, one that can be relatable to society and my generation. I want to create a montage about deciding what you want to do with your life. I want to apply it to myself personally, but allow the viewer to relate and understand where I am coming from. Society expects certain requirements to be successful, but I feel it can only be measured if you have accomplished your dream. What I am picturing for my design, is to have a person in the middle. Half of them in a suit, and the other half dressed normal and holding books preferably. The background will be various places and things, to which I would personally like to do. I will mostly put places that I would like to go in the background, but try to arrange and mesh them as much as possible. For the color scheme I want to pull from Andy Warhol’s designs with the bold choices, and even try to make the person look more like a cartoon like in his works. My purpose is to show what society expects versus what I want to do, and to show the conflicting paths, hopefully in a good manor.

  6. IDEAS • Try to make the person me, but in this colorful form

  7. Have places I would like to go in the background

  8. Having the person holding books on one side, possibly having a briefcase or a bottle of alcohol in the other hand
