How Can I Help My Child with Reading Comprehension? • Who were the characters? • Where does the story take place? • What’s the author’s purpose for writing the story? • What is the main idea, how do you know? Give me the details. • Why do you believe the story ended this way?

Tips for Parents • Listen to your children read every night. • READ, READ, READ! • Keep a bed time schedule for your children, sleep helps them to perform better in class. • Go over homework with your child. • Communicate with the teachers. • Ask QUESTIONS!
