Tabletop Exercise Goal • Identify the relationships between Public Health and healthcare providers necessary to recognize and respond to pandemic influenza and detect the first case in Alabama.
Specific Objectives • Identify the joint response capabilities between Public Health and healthcare providers in 3 key response categories: • Surveillance & Epidemiology • Specimen Collection • Laboratory Procedures
Issue Areas • Improve reporting and detection of pandemic influenza. • Increase ability for timely investigation and response. • Increase capacity to rapidly respond to a pandemic threat.
