  20. XYZ SOUTHERN REGION RELIABILITY

  21. SAIFI contributions for Southern region 0.7000 0.6000 0.5000 1997 0.4000 1998 1999 0.3000 2000 0.2000 0.1000 0.0000 trees other subst public animals weather OH UG xyz_err transmission

  22. SAIDI contributions for Southern region 12.0000 10.0000 8.0000 1997 1998 6.0000 1999 2000 4.0000 2.0000 0.0000 fuse pole other cable arrestor insulator conductor transformer line hardware subs. Breaker

  23. INDIVIDUAL FEEDER RELIABILITY • Random Feeder chosen had the following reliability – CAIDI: 132.46, SAIDI: 288.97, SAIFI: 2.1815 • Feeder Reliability versus System Reliability • “Upgrade” required and performed

  24. INDIVIDUAL FEEDER RELIABILITY (CONT’D) • List of 20 worst circuits prepared each year based on the reliability indices, for maintenance and “upgrade”. • SAIFI, SAIDI, and CAIDI calculated for a given time period • Indices assigned ranking values in terms of the proposed indices goal values • Calculate combine ranking for each circuit by adding up the individual indices ranking values.

  25. CONCLUSION • The distribution system makes the greatest individual contribution to the unavailability of supply to a customer • The calculated performance statistics aid in the planning, operating and maintaining the distribution systems.
