Eco school. What we do. Water. The taps are automatic and only stay on for 10 seconds. There is a big tank under the ground and when you flush the toilets the water that comes out is rain water. Electricity.

  1. Eco school What we do

  2. Water • The taps are automatic and only stay on for 10 seconds. • There is a big tank under the ground and when you flush the toilets the water that comes out is rain water.

  3. Electricity • Our lights in school have sensors so they only come on when someone walks into the room, also they can be turned off by switch. • All the rooms are the same accept the hall. • There ar notes on every switch to remained them to turn the lights off.

  4. Food • The vegetables we grow in our garden are used by the school cook and are served at lunch to those that want them. • We once had a fair-trade day.

  5. Eco committee • We have had the green flag for 3 and a ½ years ever since we started this school. • And the healthy school flag for 2 years.

  6. Eco code • In every class there is an eco code that tells them the rules in English and in Welsh. • Saving energy / eating healthy / recycling/ looking after school grounds / being friends. • There are 3 eco warriors in each of the 4 classes.
