Overview • The Americas Aerospace Quality Group (AAQG) is a cooperative organization within the Aviation, Space and Defense industries in the Americas • The AAQG is a committee of the SAE International Industries Technology Consortia. • There are currently 21 organizations with voting membership within the AAQG. There is provision for 25 voting members.

  4. Overview • Participants in AAQG meetings include: • Original Equipment Manufacturers • Government representatives • Suppliers • Accreditation Bodies • Certification Bodies • Academia • Consulting Firms • Other Interested Parties

America’s Sector Meetings • Sector Meetings are held twice per year • Upcoming 2014 meetings: • March 11-13 in Charleston South Carolina • September in Austin Texas • Everyone is welcome to attend the Sector Meetings • Voting Member Meeting each August to • Address stakeholder feedback • Discuss strategic issues and concerns, and set appropriate action items • Occasional telephone or web meetings to address an urgent matter

AAB & TPAB Capacity • Work to add Auditor Authentication Body (AAB) and Training Provider Approval Body (TPAB) capacity • AAQG and RMC entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with SAE International on October 1, 2013 • SAE will create a new AAB / TPAB entity • New entity will be affiliated with and supported by SAE International • Organized as an organization within the SAE Industry Technologies Consortia • Expect the new AAB/TPAB entity to be operational within 6 months

Guidance Material • Aerospace Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) • Structured process to ensure products meet customer needs • Drives a proactive and preventative mindset • Key critical to quality deliverables provide controls for on-time and on-quality delivery • Identify and reduce sources of variation
