Global Issues

In this engaging warm-up discussion for 7th-grade geography, students explore the interconnectedness of global issues. Inspired by John Muir's quote, students reflect on how specific issues influence their lives and those around them. Through paired discussions, they examine the global relevance of these challenges and potential future impacts. The group activity encourages collaboration as students share insights using a ball of yarn to symbolize connections between various issues. Additionally, resources are provided for further involvement in service-learning projects and advocacy.
