My name is Karolina Czerwinska, a 16-year-old from Brooklyn, NY. I'm passionate about raising awareness on animal cruelty and helping animals in need. I volunteer at a friendly animal shelter and invite you to do the same.   2. About Me My name is Karolina Czerwinska. I am 16 years old and was born in Kolno, Poland. I go to Brooklyn Studio Secondary School and live in Brooklyn, NY. I think it is important for everyone to be aware of issue of animal cruelty, that is why I created this website. It is to give people the right information to help animals in need. I do my part for this cause too. I volunteer at an animal shelter. It is a very friendly shelter that treats its animals and volunteers well. When animals are abused, people are at risk. -In one study, 70% of animal abusers also had records for other crimes. According to the ASPA, about 60% of dog and 70% of cats that enter animal shelters are euthanized because there is not enough space for them.
