Empowering Communities – where next?

This initiative led by Don Foster, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, aims to empower local communities through various strategies. Key efforts include designating 327 areas for neighbourhood planning, acquiring community assets, and raising £9 million through community share offers. With tailored communication strategies, we connect with diverse interest groups while making support accessible through revamped platforms. By leveraging partnerships and innovative campaigns, we aspire to list 10,000 community assets and invest £100 million annually to create vibrant, engaged neighbourhoods.

Pinterest and facebook accounts We persuaded CAMRA to run a ‘list your local’ campaign to protect 300 pubs
