Discussion Points • Use of traditional AIM I/II LP/TG content • Including estimated hours of content & estimated number of courses • Electronic classroom and ILT delivery • JTA/NJA data and process • Other comments
Use of Traditional AIM II LP/TG Content • Currently ≈ 42 ILT legacy 130A courses • ≈ 7400 hours • Have not used to build SCORM/RLO • Most are high risk courses • Implementation issues • Multiple databases (geographic locations) • Expecting considerable growth to up to 93 courses
Electronic Classroom and ILT Delivery • Limited use – most instruction in field • Display graphic media • Low end ECR refresh for POM-12 • Need more infrastructure to support blended delivery • Define requirements for SOCOM sponsorship • Expected growth will drive infrastructure • POM-12 seeks to resource AECs
JTA/NJA Data and Process • Occ Standards have recently been approved (CENSEALSWCC) • Plan future use of modernized AIM • Facilitate JTA/JMETL/NMETL alignment to NLOS • Completed some preliminary alignment of BUD/S objectives to OCC STDS (prototype)
Innovations on Traditional Model • SOCOM LMS/ETMDS study • Delivery and tracking of ILT via SOCOM LMS • Authoring support for DL • Blended formats where appropriate • ILE projects - Future • CPM/LO Module use
Unique AIM Implementation • SOCOM vs. NETC • Balancing requirements/business rules • High risk document function to enable NSW solution • We need to learn from others Karen Pohl Curriculum Systems Director Naval Special Warfare Center 619-537-2169 Email: karen.pohl@navsoc.navy.mil
