Report Card/Interim Highlights • Your child will receive an overall GRADE for each subject as well as subjectcategories • Subject categories NOT taught or assessed that quarter will NOT receive a grade for that category of standard • Students will receive Drama, Music, Art, PE, Dance, and Technology grades 2 times per year (each semester) • There will be a percentage listed on the report card…please ignore it. – This is only for middle and high schools.

  10. PARENT ENGAGMENT How Parents Can Support Learning • “The greater the parent’s involvement with their child’s learning, the greater the chances of the child’s success in school and beyond.” • Students MUST read, read, and read some more! • Basic Math Facts are a must!

  11. Conscious Discipline/PBIS • Conscious Discipline is teaching self-discipline so that one may appropriately respond instead of react to a situation. It is about building connections and relationships, and those relationships and sense of belonging will govern behavior and build intrinsic motivation. • PBIS-Positive Behavior Interventions and Supportis a school-wide system that includes strategies for defining, teaching, and supporting appropriate student expectations.
