Why Logistics? • Logistics is a 900 billion dollar industry in the U.S., 3.5 trillion globally. • Logistics is a major employer of college graduates. • Logistics is now viewed as a critical strategic business process. • Many people now involved in logistics have little or no formal training in logistics--especially engineers.
