  3. School Rules • No Cell Phones, ipods, media players • Release Form, 24hr rule • No Hats, Hoods, Masks, Jackets, Backpacks, pajamas • Dress Code: dress appropriately!!

  4. No Horseplay!! Horseplay results in: • Broken Equipment • Personal Injury • Loss of Respect

  5. Don’t Waste Our Time This Includes: • Being late • Fooling around/Horseplay • Sitting around/ Not working • Distracting others • Interrupting presentations/ Instructions “If you waste our time I will waste yours after class or after school”

  6. No Sexual Harassment This includes any: • Gestures • Touching • Language • Imagery …That is offensive to another person There is No Tolerance for breaking this rule!!

  7. Watch your language • No profanity • No name calling • No teasing • No use of racial, sexual, or religious explicates • No excuses

  8. Machine Use • Always ask before using a machine • Always use the proper eye and body protection • Always make sure you know how to use the machine properly • When finished with a machine, clean the machine and the areas around it • If a machine is not working properly shut it down and notify the instructor

  9. Tool use • Always use tools for their intended uses, the right tool for the job • Always put tools back where they belong (cabinets, shelves, drawers) • If a tool is broken, let the instructor know

  10. Projects/ Assignments/ Homework Must be turned in…. • On time • Complete: in accordance with the design criteria • As a reflection of your best possible work • With a complete design write-up for your portfolio

  11. Grading Breakdown • Content Presentations 10% • Digital Info, Typography, Elements of Design • Tutorials 25% • Skill Based, Notes, Practice • Written Work 15% • Predesign Planning, Research • Projects 50% • Photoshop, Flash, Publisher

  12. At the End of Class • Make sure your work area is clean • All tools and materials are put away • All Computer work is saved • Computers are turned off, or programs shut off • When you are done help out your classmates or ask Mr.Kish “is there anything I can do to help?”
