  3. What it is • Personalized challenge, experienced outdoors • 8 Learning Objectives • Communication • Decision Making • Leadership • Problem Solving • Self Confidence • Teamwork • Trust • Method: Challenge by Choice

What's in COPE for you • Initiative games: • Assess the group and assess individuals • Trust games and exercises • The group must be supportive • The individual must be responsible • Low elements: • Facilitate group and individual self-assessment and discovery • High elements • Push limits, safely and by choice

What to do next • Include Project C.O.P.E. in your unit training program • Youth leaders • Adult leaders • Get trained as Instructors / Facilitators • Adults (>20 yoa), youth (>17 yoa, or Venturer) • Aug 24-26 2012, Camp Snyder [7 directors / 20 instructors] • Mar 15-17 2013, Camp Snyder • Commit to 2 weekends during C.O.P.E. season • Apr-mid June • Sep-Nov • Become member of the NCAC COPE/Climbing Committee • Send e-mail to COPE@waisanen.us • Take C.O.P.E. at Goshen • Tell Council you need C.O.P.E.
