The airline was born on 25th October 1985. • It started with only two leased airplanes and now has 110 aircrafts. • Over 97 world-wide destination, 60 countries. • Emirates flight daily to JFK, Houston, and San Francisco, and now flight to all world continent. • The airlines have made a net profit of $762 Million and total revenue of $6.5 Billion last year. • Emirates also have a international cargo division. (Emirates Sky Cargo) • In 2006 Emirates carried 17.5 Million passenger and 1.2 tons of cargo. • Over 2,300 flights weekly.
In flight Entertainment • Emirates offer over 1,200 entertainment features in all classes. • They are one of the earliest airlines to introduce in flight high speed internet. • Live international television broadcast. • Emirates also offer a capability for Apple iPod portable music and video players to be charges and allows to download in-flight entertainment to iPods. • Emirates is the only airline were you can use your cell phone in flight.
