  1. iDST/Analysis Status M.Ellis & J.J. Gomez-Cadenas HARP Analysis Meeting Tuesday 24th June 2003

  2. iDST Status • Preparing tags for release v5r15: • All necessary classes in Reconstruction (38) and sufficient MC for forward analysis (5) implemented in the “txtFile” solution • txtFile will be method used for first production of iDST (MC and data) • MySQL work continues. Currently 7 classes in Rec and 5 in Monte Carlo implemented.

  3. Analysis Package • Offline (i.e. away from CERN) analysis has been demonstrated on machines in Valencia, RAL, Sheffield as well as on a laptop. • User instructions have been distributed to several “guinea pigs”, so far it has proven reasonably easy to install, however we would like some more volunteers! • Plan to produce a new set of files/instructions to allow the direct installation of v5r15 out of CERN once it is released.

  4. Analysis Package (ii) • Analysis package and related HARP packages allow to perform the following tasks outside of CERN: • Generate Monte Carlo directly into iDST format • Read iDST (Data and Monte Carlo) generated anywhere and run Reconstruction to perform any task that would normally be done at CERN (e.g. calibration, code development, efficiency/acceptance studies, etc...) • Suggestion to include HarpUI in a future version (requires installation of ROOT), who would like this?
