CISC Symposium Planning Committee Meeting

The CISC Planning Committee met on January 29, 2014, to discuss the symposium updates. Registration has seen a strong turnout with 1,085 participants, of which all but 6 have completed payments. Key registration times are set, and detailed conference schedules are available online, highlighting session descriptions and resources. Committee members are assigned to assist in various logistics including AV needs and signage. Additionally, updates on pre-conference lunch options are provided. The next meeting will be held on February 18, 2014, in Monterey.

Registration Update • 1,085 people are registered • All but 6 people are paid in full - Great Job!! • Registration Times • Tuesday, 4:00 – 6:00 PM • Wednesday, 8:00 – 10:00 AM • Wednesday, 2:00 – 4:00 PM • 8 people behind the counter, others greeting people • Keynotes and Featured Speakers, Sponsors check in at VIP table • Name badges for exhibitors (not attending sessions) different color

  3. Pre-Conference • Pre-conference Update • E-mail sent re: lunch option, BOE account and charged device • Lunch option - $17.00 – 21 registered to date

  4. Conference Schedule • Updated, detailed conference schedule • Committee members assist with “herding” in Serra • Session descriptions, links, resources on website • Liaison responsibilities • Liaison assignments • Superintendents to introduce keynotes and featured speakers • Ask CISC members for further assistance

  5. Logistics • AV – Projectors • Signage, Table Tents • Herding assignments  • Student Slideshow • Assign committee members sponsors to welcome/thank • Promote the vendor reception • Logo wear available on Tuesday • Dinner menu for Tuesday • Other?
