What is the Demo • The connectivity demo consist of: • MP277 Panel • S7315 PN controller with simulator module • AB PLC (Control or Compact Logix) • SCALANCE switch • WinCC flexible RT application for a laptop • There is also the SIPEC presentation (AUTO3P_Communication_WinCC flexible_Master Presentation.ppt) that can be used in all or part to help explain the communications ability of SIMATIC HMI as well as the differences between Profinet and Ethernet/IP.

  6. Why should I show this • This demo shows the SIMATIC HMI talking to both the Rockwell controller on Ethernet/IP and the SIMATIC S7 on Profinet, at the same time. We do talk to AB and S7 over Ethernet at the same time. You can also use this to show the advance features of our HMI such as Sm@rtAccess and Sm@rtService as well as the general HMI demonstration. • This demo is part of a SIPEC Seminar and include a presentation that discusses the benefits of Profinet over Ethernet/IP.

What to Show • Show how to navigate to the Connectivity Screens. • Show starting and stopping the AB PLC (Prove communications) • Use buttons on screen to flash IO point on AB as well as S7 PLC. • Show Sm@rtService from PC with Internet Explorer • Remote Access • Trouble Shooting • Remote Start/Stop and maintenance issues. • Show Sm@rtAccess from WinCC flexible application on PC • Show the remote control capabilities • Show Web connectivity to S& • Show Web connectivity to SCALANCE
