IFS Plant Design System Coordinator (new position) Background for and description of the position: As a consequence of solid growth in the company Hamworthy Gas Systems AS is in the process of revising internal tools, methods and procedures. This work has included implementing a new ERP system, IFS. The database module IFS Plant Design is now the company’s most important engineering tool along with the system design tool Autoplant. This autumn integration will be established between Plant Design and Autoplant. The integration is produced by IFS and Bentley, while the engineering framework is produced by IFS superusers in HGS. To achieve and maintain efficient and correct use of the new system, the position System Coordinator IFS Plant Design is established. This is a 100% employment with long-term career possibilities. The coordinator role is a managing role, while superusers are the support link between system management and the users. The System Coordinator will belong in Technical Department, cooperating with a variety of the company’s professionals throughout. Engineer with a liking for IT? IFS Plant Design System Coordiantor (new position) • Responsibility: • Drive forward and document solutions where company methods and Plant Design structure require adjustments. • Drive forward and maintain uniform methodology in Plant Design with the support of superusers from Technical Department. • Ensure uniform system/method for data exchange between IFS Plant Design and interfacing IFS modules. • Ensure uniform system/method for data exchange between IFS Plant Design and Autoplant, and coordinate superusers/expertise within the two software packages. • Responsible for planning and carrying out training and workshops in IFS Plant Design. • Recruit and train superusers in Plant Design. • Coordinate and follow-up the superusers’ areas of responsibility, building the superuser team. Ensure that superusers in IFS Plant Design uses same methodology, structure and utilisation of the system. • Follow-up of Plant Design towards supplier (IFS). • Qualifications and personality: • The person to fill this position should have a higher technical education (engineering or IT) and an interest in and experience with database structure. He or she should have a general knowledge of work processes within engineering, be solution oriented, with ability to see both details and the broad picture. Design / Pipe stress Project engineers • Senior Design Engineer • Typical project tasks: • As a senior designer you will perform 3D design of LNG/LPG process plants for ship- and onshore facilities. This may involve design of skids as well as larger modules or plants. You will also be involved in follow up of supplier and customers; sometimes on site in other parts of the world. Technical Safety Technical Safety Coordinator (new position) • Description and responsibility: • The Technical Safety Coordinator will belong in the Process discipline in Technical Department, and will be involved at management level in all our projects. He or she will to a great extent manage own time and have the possibility to define the Technical Safety Coordinator role, as well as have impact on HGS' internal standards and work processes. • Responsibility includes management, follow up and quality control of safety related tasks during project execution, from defining project requirements to performing HAZOP and HAZID. • The person in this position will work closely with our QA/EHS department and with our project managers to establish company and project procedures within technical safety. An additional purpose of the position is to educate our technical organization on technical safety in engineering and process design – make us better. • Qualifications: • Higher technical education (M.Sc, PhD if possible) • At least 5 years experience from oil and gas related business • Experience from HAZOP (at least participation level) • Fluent English, oral and written. • Ideal personality: • The ideal person for this position has a genuine interest and enthusiasm about technical safety.
