  1. Using • To create graphs using technology to find the correlation coefficient “R”

  2. Using GeoGebra • Open GeoGebra

  3. Opening page Click on Spreadsheet & Graphics

  4. Spreadsheet and graphics view Begin to enter your data in the spreadsheet.

  5. Enter your data When you input your data is should resemble this.

  6. Make a graph Highlight the two columns, your X and Y data, including the headings

  7. Make a graph STEP 1 STEP 2 Step 1 – Find the icon with the graph on it and click on the red arrow on the bottom right corner to open up a menu Step 2 – On menu click the Two Variable Regression Analysis

  8. Make a graph STEP 1 STEP 2 Step 1 – Find the option icon (gear/wheel) click it select “Use Header as Title” Step 2 – Click Analyze

  9. Here is your graph! STEP 2 STEP 1 Step 1 – Find the Regression Model Box click it down arrow Step 2 – Click Linear

  10. Here is your graph! STEP 1 Here is your graph with the line of best fit

  11. Finding the Correlation Coefficient Click the summation button (see arrow) This will show the statistics for graph.

  12. Finding the Correlation Coefficient Now you will see the statistics on the left and your graph on the right. The correlation coefficient will be found on the right and labelled as “r”

  13. Finding the Correlation Coefficient Statistics window on the left, zoomed in above. Locate the correlation coefficient by finding “r” and then number represents the correlation coefficient.
