WATER POLLUTION How to Avoid It

Water pollution is a pressing issue that demands our attention. In 2007, factories in Minnesota dumped over two million pounds of toxic waste into waterways, highlighting the urgent need for action. Every day, 60 million plastic water bottles are discarded in the U.S., exacerbating the problem. To avoid water pollution, consider using water filters instead of single-use plastic bottles, and actively participate in community clean-up efforts. Together, we can protect our water sources and create a cleaner, healthier environment for all.

  2. Different Types of Water Pollution • Factories in Minnesota dumped more than two million pounds of toxic waste in the water ways in 2007!!!!!!! • If you don’t want animals to look like this start picking up trash and help clean the rivers in your area. We don’t need super Squirrels!

  3. More Different Types Of Pollution • 60 MILLION water bottles are thrown away EVERY day in America ALONE. • It takes 3 times the amount of water it takes to fill the bottle just to make the bottle.

  4. Heard of Acid Rain? Well We Have. • Imagine Living in New York sitting on a bench in the middle a the city and looking at the sky. In the sky is a “dome” of smoke. This comes from the factories when the smoke leaves the smoke pipes and it also combines with the clouds which creates acid rain that poisons rain making it toxic.

  5. How to Avoid Water Pollution • To avoid water pollution use a filter instead of a plastic bottle of water • Instead of buying water bottles buy one bottle (not plastic) and use it on a daily basic. • You can also go around picking up trash around you community!!!

  6. BE HAPPY DO NOT LITTER!!! Because it could end up in YOUR water!!!
