Work Anyware

This project by the SLAM Team aims to design chairs that provide comfort, back support, outlet access, and the option to sit or stand. The chairs are spacious, easy to clean, and can be purchased in bulk. The team's final design is a tall chair with back support and wheels. The project received positive feedback from customers, who appreciated the chair's design and movability. Cost estimates for the chair and related materials are provided. The project's goal is to serve the engineering department and community by providing comfortable chairs for effective work.

  2. Customer Requirements/Project selection • Comfort • Back support • Spacious desk • Outlet access • Option to sit or stand • Space for backpacks (Based on our surveyresults) • Cheap enough to furnish a building • Easy to clean • Ability to bulk purchase • Doesn’t require excessive space (Requirements from the school)

  3. Conceptual Design Our conceptual design was to design chairs based on our own experience. Then we decided to focus on gauging the opinions of students to see what they valued.

  4. Actual Design Our final design was based upon accessibility and comfort, and we feel that a tall chair with a back support and wheels fits these values.
