2. The story tells about April fools’s day and that Mr. Joe has played a joke on his neighbours. Mr. Joe is digging a hole and he told Mr. Nosey that there is oil in the ground there. He made him belive that he will be a rich man and he asked him not tell anyone else. Mr. Nosey

3. Mr. Nosey ran to tell all his friends the news , and all his friends also ran to tell their friends the news. So everyone in the village is looking for oil in their own gardens. Mrs. Nosey thought that Mr. Joe had murdered his wife and he is going to bury her in that hole. The other wifes were afraid because their husbands are digging holes too, so they wanted to stop them. Mr. Joe

4. In the evening all the pepole looked into Joe’s hole and they saw that it was empty , and his wife was in the house. She went out and said : “It’s april fool’s day” Mrs. Nosey

5. The main characters Mr. Joe Mr. Joe lives in a small house with a garden in a quite village. He has a good sense of humor and he is very clever , so he takes advantage of Mr. Nosey’s nature. He told Mr. Nosey “ a secret “ on purpose that the whole village will know soon. Mr. Joe

6. Mr. Nosey Mr. Nosey is called by that name because he puts his nose everywhere. He also doesn’t know how to keep a secret. He is very naïve and he believes that he and the whole village can get rich easily. Mr. Nosey

7. Mrs. Nosey She is Mr. Nosey’s wife. She is also very naive and she believes all the rumors she hears. Mrs. Nosey

8. The setting The story takes place on April 1st , in a quite village where the neighbours know each other very well.
