  2. POLICIES relevant to Undergraduate Psychology are found in the Undergraduate Student Guide (UAG) • The document can be found on the MUSO site for each unit. • The document will also be available via the School Intranet under Study resources. http://www.med.monash.edu.au/psych/students/current/ Please familiarise yourself with this document and refer students where possible

  3. Attendance Requirements • Psychology students are required to attend 75% of face-to-face classes in order to pass each unit. • Alternative Hurdle Assessments (AHA) are provided to students who meet between 50% - 75% attendance. • Medical certificates (M/C) can be accepted in lieu of attendance, however cannot make up the minimum 50%.

  4. Attendance Requirements cont. • Medical certificates must be handed to tutors to ensure they are keyed into the MUSO grade book. • Tutors must key the attendance or M/C acknowledgement for students who attend their class, even if the student does not appear on the original class list.UAG - Page19

  5. Special Consideration • Please familiarise yourself with the Special Consideration policy located at the following site: • http://www.monash.edu.au/exams/special-consideration.html • Students must submit a Special Consideration form in the submission box at their campus of enrolment – NOT directly to tutors or staff.

  6. Plagiarism • Please ensure students are aware of the University plagiarism policy. UAG - Page 14 • Students MUST submit work with a signed ‘bar-coded cover sheet’. A 5% penalty will apply to all assignments received without a cover sheet and will not be marked until one is received.

  7. Marking • Tutors are required to mark 30 pieces of assessment for each class taken. • Assignments will usually be available for marking within two days of the submission date • A marking sheet will be attached to each bundle of assignments, which needs to be returned with the marked assignments.

  8. Marking cont. • University Policy determines a four week turn-around-time for assignment return. Therefore, marking is required to be back to designated administrators within 3 weeks. • The marking sheet will provide a return date and the administrators’ details.

  9. Who to contact when in doubt • Academic enquiries should be referred to the Unit Coordinators or Assistant Coordinators • All other enquiries relating to administrative processes should be directed to the designated undergraduate administrators.
