Create an Informational Brochure • Today your job will be to create a brochure that discusses ways to stay away from drugs, tobacco, or alcohol. • Your recourses will be your health textbook (ch. 12, 13, or 14), informational brochures, and your devices. • With a partner you will use these resources to come up with your own informational brochure about one of these topics.

  2. Topics (2 groups per topic) • Tobacco • Alcohol • Marijuana • Ecstasy • Rohypnol • GHB • Ketamine • Anabolic Steroids • Opium • Heroin • OxyContin • Cocaine • Methamphetamine • Inhalants • PCP • LSD

  3. What should my brochure include?(20 pts) • Title (Create your own) • A description and/or definition of your topic (ex. What is tobacco) • Uses for the different substances. (ex. Roofies can be in a pill or liquid form) • What effects can the substance have on your physical, mental, and emotional health? (ex. What physical effects does ecstasy have on the body?) • Tips to stay free of the substance? (ex. If you are approached with the substance, what should you do or what can you say? • Where can you go to get help? • Brochure is colorful • Brochure is creative • Brochure is neat and organized
