Challenge: Unconventional/Offshore - Sandstone Fines ControlSolution: FinesWedge™ Conductivity Enhancer Surface modification agent that can: • minimize the invasion and inhibit the migration of formation fines into the proppant pack • increase porosity and permeability in the proppant pack through better vertical distribution, leading to higher conductivity and increased production • inhibit scale formation in treated proppant packs, preventing flow restriction and corrosion • provide improved HSE performance and reliability. Non tacky material can enable efficient pumping operations and clean up

  5. Cyclical Stress Endurance Silica flour was used in simulating the unconsolidated formation. Carbo-Lite 20/40 Mesh™ proppant was used at a loading of 5 lb/ft2. Results indicate that the treatment effectively stabilized the unconsolidated fines and resulted in up to a 22 fold conductivity performance improvement for treated proppant relative to control.
