Schedule Highlights • Daily 5 Literacy Block: When fully up to speed, will include: coaching to refine selection of Good Fit books, individual conferencing and goal setting, small strategy group work, and whole group focus lessons • Math Hour: Currently meeting in grade level groups, may implement mixed groups as we move through concepts • Specials: Music, P.E., Communication Lab, Wacky Wednesday, Dr. Joe, 7th Grade Buddies • Please refer to handout for detailed schedule
How We Do It • Multi-Age class means that we deliver grade level content and extend beyond it in a variety of ways: • Individual conferencing, coaching and assessment • Small group work in and out of the classroom • Whole group work with differing/modified expectations of work produced based on grade level or capabilities
How We Do It, continued. . . • With two instructional staff in the room, we can keep moving forward while also supporting those who struggle or need re-teaching along the side • Behavior Cross: Blue and green are our favorite colors! • Notice desirable behaviors rather than give negative attention
