  5. Why Individualized Learning Plans? • Response to state law “requiring” career exploration • Aligns with national, other stateinitiatives • Promotes postsecondary planning • Presents career development as life-long process • Encourages parents/mentor involvement

  6. Why Individualized Learning Plans? Students who enter college without a clear career planmay receive a degree but too often incur long-term loan debt that is out of line with the salary projections for the jobs they finally receive.
