  3. Review • Anatomical orientation • Are your arms are superior or anterior to your legs? • Layers of the heart • Which layer of the heart is composed of the primary muscle tissue and performs the work of the heart? • Cardiac Chambers • Which chambers provide the forceful pumping of the heart?

  4. Review cont. • Blood vessels of the heart • Which vessels carry blood from the heart to the lungs? • Valves • AV valves separate which two structures? • Flow of blood through the heart • Into which chamber of the heart does blood returning from the lungs enter?

  6. Mapping the Blood Vessels Each group is to map out an assigned group of arteries or veins in relation to position within the body. Use your text book pages 752-763 for arteries and pages 764-772 for veins. Denote where blood is coming from and where it empties. Show which vessels supply blood to which tissues and organs. Each group is responsible for their section of vessels. Once complete, please have a TA check to make sure it is right, and then draw your section of blood vessels on the board. MAKE SURE TO COPY ALL GROUPS OF ARTERIES AND VEINS, AS YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL OF THEM.
