State-wide Minimum Qualifications Change Purview of State Academic Senate ACCCTEP endorsed strengthening Minimum Qualifications for Education classes (Master’s in education, teaching OR Master’s in a recognized K-12 subject matter, OR the equivalent AND hold or have held a state approved K-12 teaching credential) ACCCTEP encouraged individual CC TEP leaders to also endorse changes to Minimum Qualifications for Education classes

  7. Course I.D. Legislation Participate in upcoming discussions and advocate for course descriptors for TEP courses – state Academic Senate ACCCTEP state liaison, the “lead” of the Teacher Prep Discipline Input Group

  8. Next Steps Work toward increasing the Title V limit on number of TEP units transferable to 4-year colleges (next legislative session) Clearinghouse for new TEP programs best practices, funding sources, curriculum development
