Wisconsin Quality Educator Initiative License Requirements Initial Educator • Successfully completed an approved program • 5-year non-renewable license • This initial educator is supported by a mentor and professional development team: • Higher education representative • Administrator • Peer • Professional development plan Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction November 2005

Wisconsin Quality Educator Initiative License Requirements Professional Educator • 5-year renewable license granted for showing growth in 2 or more WI Educator Standards • Supported by a professional development team • Professional development plan verification Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction November 2005

Wisconsin Quality Educator Initiative Master Educator • Voluntary 10-year renewable license available by documenting mastery of the WI Educator Standards, including evidence of improved student learning OR • The National Board for Professional Teaching Standards Certification Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction November 2005
