  1. These german made vaporizers have been considered the gold standard of the vape world since their inception as the flagship product of the Storz and Bickel vape company in 2002. Now, after over a decade and a few new innovations, the Volcano herb vaporizer remains one of the most popular desktop vaporizers in the world. To the layman, the Volcano does not really look like an herb vape, let alone one of the most powerful vapes in the industry. The Volcano almost looks like a piece of kitchen equipment with its simple conical stainless steel design, two switches, and a dial. The main device is actually just the heater, the real magic is happening in the chamber and the vapor bag.

  2. The vapor bag valve system is one of the most unique features of the Volcano. Instead of using a flexible whip, glass tube, or other common delivery system, the Volcano collects vapor in a bag. The bag is attached to a special adapter that clicks on to an herbal filling chamber. The entire bag and chamber assembly is then placed on top of the preheated main unit and the fan switch is activated. Once the fan has been activated, the chamber is heated through hot air convection and the resulting vapor is collected in the bag. Once the bag is full, the fan can be turned off and the bag is removed from the fill chamber. Removing the bag also closes a one way valve on the bag assembly, preventing vapor from escaping. This leaves you with a sealed bag of vapor and a chamber of vaped or partially vaped herb.

  3. To inhale that vapor all you have to do is attach a mouthpiece to the bag and take hits of vapor at your leisure. Some folks prefer to hit it right away while others may want to take some time to let the vapor cool. No matter how you choose to enjoy your vapor, this unique bag system offers virtually no draw resistance. This makes the Volcano the easiest vape to use for people who have trouble with the “thick milkshake” resistance that some vaporizers require. When choosing a Volcano herb vaporizer, there are a lot of options to consider. The original Volcano Classic Vaporizer had a simple analog dial for temperature control, but now the Volcano Digital Vaporizer models have a full digital display with a temperature readout for precise temperature control. You will also have to choose between their solid and easy valve system. The solid valve can be fully disassembled and rebuilt, while the easy valve features disposable bags that can just be disposed of after use.
