1. My life so far… Ellen Mann

2. 1997- Surrey, England • I was born in The Royal Surrey county Hospital on the 10th of October 1997. • Ok, so my life is a little complicated- you could say I am a well travelled individual; or just downright crazy! • Having just turned three in 2001, my parents decided to move us to Australia for a fresh start in life. My mum already had family there (she grew up there)so we moved. • I live with my Parents and I have one older sister. • Mum- Andrea Mann • Dad- Nick Mann • Sister- Leah Mann (16)

3. The Middle age (10) crisis! • I went to Primary school in Warrandyte- Warrandyte Primary School, even though we moved around a lot. We only ever went on Holidays inside Australia, that was fine for us though, until we went back to England for a big trip. We missed it. • So, yes, 3 years later we were all set to move back to England. I was in year 5, it was an exciting change even though my sister was more disrupted by the big move. We moved back to England in 2008, and it was a great experience. We were back in our hometown and had to live with my Aunty for a few months until we were settled. Again, as in Australia, we moved around a bit though we stayed in the same school. In England I discovered a passion for History, English and Science. Being rich in culture and history, England was definitely an influence over my love for the arts. I wanted to be an author and hopefully achieve good grades to go to a top university like Oxford, Cambridge or London. Those were my dreams at the time. I completed my Primary education there and even started my secondary school. Life was good for us, we went on Holidays to Europe and America- our favourite Holiday destination. I had made plenty of friends and really felt like I fitted in.

4. There and back again… • However, My parents once again, saw opportunity and prospect in Australia. They missed it. So much so, on the 26th Of October 2011, we left for , first a holiday in America (soften the blow!). • We stayed in Florida, then onto LA. It was a lovely holiday- one of the best, and it seemed like it would never end as Australia was on the other side waiting for us. • So, we arrived in Australia, not really sure of what to do but we n=knew this was the right decision, even if my sister and I couldn’t see it at the time. We had left our friends, and being in year 9 and 11, this was the biggest move you could make. We felt alone, but me, being an optimist, had always had high hopes for our life in Australia; and so we came to Doncaster, and for Leah and I, Doncaster secondary school.

5. The Ellen Mann you see today… • LIKES: • I have changed in the short span of 3 years, my main passions are now English and Science. • I don’t really have any dislikes subject wise, as I try to stay positive in all areas, regardless of first impressions. Well, I try to anyway! • I love hard work and challenges, I need to have something to work on, I hate being bored. • I quite enjoy public speaking and problem solving. I am quite creative; art is another of my hobbies, including reading, writing and music.

7. My life so far… • My name is Elaina Saltzman, I am 23 years old and am single with no children. • I have a passion for politics and public speaking. Confidence is not an issue for me, as I enjoy the challenges and rush of campaigns. However, I prefer team work and coordination to being in the limelight. • I live in Riverside Towers, Diverscity.

9. Qualifications • Completion of secondary school, at Tower County High School • Graduated university with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science. • Work experience in the Foreign affairs department in Asia.
