  1. CRS-07-08 Resolution 240 – Request by ECE/GRSP for essential parameters of a CRS side impact test method As an answer to the request (ref SC12 N 608) by Pierre Castaing, chairman of the ECE/GRSP informal working group on CRS, WG 1 suggests the following action: Alternative 1: To provide essential input parameters only • Published as ISO/PAS (Publicly Available Specification, normative ISO document) • Possible to finalise within the short time frame • TF1 deadline: February 2009 • WG1 deadline: March 2009, by e-mail • Delivery date from ISO: June 2009 Alternative 2: To provide essential input parameters plus a check of existing methods (with respect to fulfilment of the essential input parameters and feasibility, costs and other issues) • Published as ISO/PAS (Publicly Available Specification, normative ISO document) • Most probably possible to finalise within the short time frame • TF1 deadline: March 2009 • WG1 deadline: April 2009, by e-mail • Delivery date from ISO: July 2009 Delivery of a complete test method for type approval purposes • Judged to be not possible within the time frame given The GRSP informal group is asked to confirm that the request has been correctly understood and to respond (by 5 December) which of the above alternatives would be their preference.
